Grab your hiking shoes, have a good breakfast and leave the rest to the experienced hands of your guides as you get into one of the most impressive gorges of Europe. After a couple of hours driving, climbing up the imposing White Mountains, we will get to the Plateau of Omalos. This plateau has an altitude of 4,000 feet and provides breathtaking views of the gorge below. Samaria looks like a divine hand grabbed the mountains and cracked it in two, with the ‘crack’ reaching depths up to 1,500 feet and the width forming a narrow passage at only 10 feet called fittingly, the gates. Become one with nature, meet up with the kri kri, and discover the unique flowers that this natural park has to offer.
At the end of the ten mile-six hour hike you will be greeted by the gorgeous blue of the Libyan Sea where you can take a dip. A short ride with a private boat taxi will then take you to a hidden jewel of Crete, a small village name Loutro. A table awaits you there for lunch by the waters edge and you will want to stay in this paradise forever. Later on, a short boat ride you will get back to civilization and our driver who will take you back to your hotel.
